About LeaveFriday

LeaveFriday helps people in California find weekend trips they can actually take. We match Friday-evening nonstop flights with vetted hotels, score every combination, and show the total estimated price on one page. No searching six tabs. No guessing if the timing works.

How it works

We track 70 nonstop routes from 9 California airports to 13 destinations. For each route, we pair flights with three hotel tiers: our pick (best value-to-quality ratio), a luxury option, and a budget option. That gives you 39 vetted hotels across all destinations.

Every combination gets a Weekend Score from 0 to 100 based on five factors: departure time (can you leave after work?), return time (do you get enough of the weekend?), total price, flight duration, and hotel guest reviews. The highest-scoring packages get featured on the homepage.

How we make money

When you click through to book a flight or hotel, we earn a commission from the booking provider (like Booking.com or Skyscanner). This is called affiliate revenue. It costs you nothing extra. The price you see on the booking site is the same whether you came from LeaveFriday or found it yourself.

We disclose this because we think you should know. It also means our incentive is aligned with yours: we only make money when we help you find a trip worth booking.

What's real and what's estimated

The routes are real. Every flight pairing on this site is a verified nonstop route that operates as of the most recent schedule data. The hotels are real properties with real addresses and real guest review scores.

The prices are estimates. Flight and hotel prices change constantly based on demand, availability, and timing. The prices we show are based on typical fares for each route and nightly rates for each hotel. When you click through to book, you will see the actual current price on the provider's site. It may be higher or lower than our estimate.

The engagement numbers (views, saves, clicks) are real counts from our analytics. We do not fabricate or inflate these numbers.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't take payment information. We don't hold reservations or issue tickets. We're a discovery tool that helps you find the right weekend and sends you directly to the provider to book.
